Pilzhof Pilzsubstrat Wallhausen GmbH is Central Germany’s main supplier of both loose mushroom substrate grown through with mycelium, and fructified trays (2.7 m² growing area) for growing "white A 15" and "brown Heirlom" mushrooms.
  
Our customers are mushroom growers from all over Germany, Sweden, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Austria, France, Rumania, Hungary, Poland, Croatia and Slovenia.

Fructification Phase IV

  • Construction started 05/99
  • 1st construction phase-> commissioned 11/99
  • 2nd construction phase /1st segment -> commissioned 09/03 with a weekly output of 2160 trays
  • 2009 - construction of a hall for metering casing material into the trays
  • 2009 – weekly output of fructified trays increased to 3000 trays

Tunnel complex Phase II/III

  • Construction started 11/99
  • 1st construction phase -> commissioned 08/00
  • 2nd construction phase /1st segment -> commissioned 08/03 with a weekly output of 1080 tonnes of substrate grown through with mycelium
  • 2nd construction phase/2nd segment -> to increase production to a weekly output of 1278 tonnes of substrate grown through with mycelium

Indoor plant phase I

  • Construction started 08/00
  • Commissioned 03/01
  • Current output of 2250 tonnes of fresh substrate per week
Wallhausen is located between Halle and Nordhausen. Covering 82,000 m², the production facilities of Pilzhof Pilzsubstrat Wallhausen GmbH are located on the Wallhausen industrial estate, between the arterial roads of the Harz mountain range, the B 80 and the A38 motorway.
