2016
Renovation of the Fruiting Facility
In December 2016, one of the two steam cells was converted to a cultivation room, boosting average capacity to 3,512 crates per week.
2015
Further Extension of the Fruiting Facility
In 2016, the fruiting facility was extended by two further cultivation rooms. This increased the average weekly capacity to 3,500 crates.

Grand Prize of Medium Business 2012
In 2012, for the second time, Pilzhof Pilzsubstrat GmbH was awarded the “Großer Preis des Mittelstandes” (“Grand Prize of Medium Business”) of the Oskar Patzelt Foundation of Leipzig. Michael Schattenberg, the managing director of Pilzhof, is proud of this award: “…but all of this wouldn’t have been possible at all without our dedicated employees.”
2008
Further Extension of the Tunnel Complex
In 2008, the tunnel complex was extended by six tunnels, to a total of now 29 tunnels. Capacity was now at 1,250 metric tons of colonised substrate per week.
2003
Extension of the Fruiting Facility
In September 2003, the fruiting facility was extended by a further four cultivation rooms and a large steam cell. Average weekly capacity was now at 2,520 crates.

Extension of the Tunnel Complex
In August 2003, the tunnel complex was extended by six tunnels, to the new total of 23 tunnels. Production capacity was now at 1,000 metric tons of colonised substrate per week.

The Pilzhof Reaches its Output Limit
Pilzhof Wallhausen receives the certificate for the certified quality management system – further expansion from September 2002.

Start of production of the Indoor Facility
In April 2001, production in the indoor facility started. 2,300 metric tons of fresh substrate per week were now produced by our company.

In September 2000, construction of the indoor facility began. This is where the first production phase takes place.

Further Extension of the Tunnel Complex
In August 2000, the tunnel complex was completed. It consisted of 17 tunnels, and on this basis, production was increased to a capacity of 800 metric tons of colonised substrate per week.

Construction of Tunnel Complex Begins
In December 1999, construction of the tunnel complex began. Here, production phases two and three take place.

Completion of Fruiting Facility
In November 1999, this construction stage was completed. Production was now operating with five cultivation rooms and an average weekly capacity of 1,800 crates.

Symbolic Ground-Breaking Ceremony
On 20 January 1999, the ground-breaking ceremony for the entire production complex took place. After that, construction of the fruiting facility began, where the fourth production phase is carried out.
